Did you know, heart disease is still the number 1 killer in Malaysia? With almost 1 in every 4 deaths caused by heart disease. Yes, there are other diseases that could also impact the heart such as Arrhythmias!

What is heart arrhythmia?

Heart arrhythmia is an irregular heartbeat condition that occurs when the electrical signals that coordinate the heart's beats don't work properly. The faulty signaling causes the heart to beat too fast (tachycardia), too slow (bradycardia) or irregularly.

Symptoms may include:

  • Fluttering in the chest

  • A racing heartbeat (tachycardia)

  • Slow heartbeat (bradycardia)

  • Chest pain

  • Shortness of breath

Heart arrhythmia is common!

While it’s much more common in older adults and possibly harmless, it can occur at any age, with the risk increasing as one age to a point of it being life-threatening.

Should you, unfortunately, develop this, you may need to undergo Catheter Ablation or Electrophysiology (EP) Procedure. This is a procedure that restores the heart’s incorrect electrical signals which cause an abnormal heart rhythm.

Performed by a heart rhythm specialist called an Electrophysiologist (EP), a thin tube called a catheter is placed through a small incision in a patient’s leg where it is then weaved up through a leg artery to the heart.

Based on various *research, patients receiving catheter ablation have been shown to be up to 73% more likely symptom-free at 4 years when compared to patients receiving drug therapy. It also results in an improvement in quality of life, provides symptom relief, and reduces the long-term risk for stroke!

Aided by 3-D imaging technology, the cost of the EP procedure could cost RM30,000 or more!

Consider applying for a medical loan.

Unless you’re protected with coverages for these circumstances, most of us in our 20s and 30s, or even 40s, don’t have the money to pay for such medical emergencies. Fret not, you can still seek help for your medical surgeries with medical loans from Alliance Bank!

At Alliance Bank, you can apply for:

✔️Medical loans of up to RM200,000

✔️Medical loans as low as RM5,000

What is a medical loan?

A medical loan is a type of personal loan that can only be used to finance for medical care. Available through banks and online lenders, medical loans are usually unsecured loans.

Why should you apply for a medical loan?

  • Allows you to get a procedure done to improve your quality of life now, rather than waiting potentially for years to save up the cash.

  • You do not need to offer any collateral or assets (like your house or car) to the bank when you borrow money.

  • No down-payment is needed.

  • You can keep your savings and investments. Instead of using your savings now, save it for another rainy day that requires you to use your saving.

  • Enhances your credit score. If your credit history is limited, having varying types of credit, like medical loans can help boost your credit scores, as long as you make the repayment on time.

Don’t let money stop you from getting the treatment you need!
