The All New Membership Status and Exclusive Privileges You Can Get

To make it simple, the revamped programme has different membership statuses for members based on their flight frequencies. Each status allows members to enjoy different privileges.

Membership Status & Its Exclusive Features

Red Members

With this membership status, you will be able to earn as high as 20 AirAsia BIG Points (for every RM10 spent), depending on the base fare of the flights.

Gold Members

If you fly with AirAsia for more than 13 times (below 23), you will automatically be upgraded to this status and enjoy up to 40 AirAsia BIG Points for every RM10 spent.

Platinum Members

You can be upgraded to this status as long as you fly with AirAsia at least 24 times per annum and you will enjoy up to 70 AirAsia BIG Points for every RM10 spent.

Black Members

If you are a hardcore and loyal customer of AirAsia by flying more than 50 times a year you will be upgraded to a Black membership. Black Members of AirAsia BIG Freedom Flyer Programme will be able to earn up to 120 AirAsia BIG Points with every RM10 spent, which is a huge boost to your redemption later on.

How Do You Upgrade Your Membership Status?

As mentioned, you will be upgraded as soon as you fulfil the flight frequency requirement. Review date is carried out at the end of preceding 12 months. Do take note that each one-way short haul flight counts as 1 flight, while one-way long-haul flight counts as 2 flights (exceptions may apply).

For example, if you flew 10 one-way short-haul flights in the last 12 months, your status is Red. If however, you flew 10 one-way long-haul flights, these would be counted as 20 flights, and your status will be Gold.

Is It Possible For Your Membership Status To Get Downgraded?

We are glad you asked. According to the low-cost airline loyalty program, membership statuses will be reviewed at the end of preceding 12 months upon review of the qualifying flight redemptions of each status. That means your membership status for the next 12 months will be considered based on your flight frequency for the current 12 months in terms of flights. So keep your head in the game if you want to enjoy earning more AirAsia BIG Points than the others!

Is The Final Call Sale X The Same As The Final Call Sale?

Basically, the rules of redemption and deals for both are pretty much the same except that the Final Call Sale X applies to AirAsia X flights only.
